SUMMARY:Celebration of the Feast Days of St. Michael and St. Francis\, with Outdoor Blessing of the Animals
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a joyous service celebrating the combined feast days of St. Michael’s and All Angels\, and St. Francis.  It will be in the church with modified Eucharist\, and on Zoom.  There will be special music\, including a performance of “Michael\, Row the Boat Ashore.” \nOutdoor Blessing of the Animals in honor of St. Francis of Assisi by Rev. DESCRIPTION:Clean out those cupboards and closets and support your community and church! \nThe Germantown organizations of West Central Germantown Neighbors\, Christ Church & St. Michael’s\, and Circle of Hope enthusiastically invite neighbors near and not-so-near to join us in community for a yard sale. Find a treasure and then attend Revolutionary Germantown festivities!  (Rain date:  Saturday\, October 16) \nThere are many ways you can participate: \n\nDonate serviceable items to one of the sponsoring organizations who will sell them to support their essential efforts in our community.\nSell your own stuff by either renting a spot at 29 W. Tulpehocken market area or vending from your own yard if you live nearby. We will ask for a small donation to help cover overhead costs.  Pre-registration to sell is required no later than Sept. 25.  Email wcgnboard@gmail.com (use subject line “Yard Sale”).\nMeet your neighbors by volunteering to help out before or the day of!\nCome shop for a new treasure to call your own! We also hope to have free items available for the taking\, such as children’s clothes\, school supplies\, and cold-weather items.\n\nInformation specifically for members of Christ Church and St. Michael’s: \n\nPlease do not bring any clothes for sale\, though jewelry\, shoes\, and the like are welcome.\nThe Parish House auditorium will be open for drop-offs 9 am-1 pm on W Sept. 22 and W Sept 29.\nThe auditorium will also provisionally be open for drop-offs on F Oct. 1\, 9 am-1 pm. It will definitely be open 6-7:30 pm.  Volunteers are very welcome at these times.\nIf you would like someone to pick up items at your home\, please call Renee at 267 971 9450 and she will make arrangements. Be sure to say how large the items are\, since furniture will require a truck.\nFeel free to tape or pin suggested prices on the items you donate. That will save everyone some time.

DESCRIPTION:Christ Church and St. Michael’s will not have a service on Ash Wednesday.  But ashes will be available to take home in the church after the Sunday service on Feb. 27 and also at the parish house today from 9 am to noon. \n  \nIf you would like to attend an in-person Ash Wednesday service\, St. Luke’s\, 5421 Germantown Ave.\, will have one at noon. \n  \nSt. Martin in the Fields\, Chestnut Hill\, will have four services on Ash Wednesday\, at 7 am\, noon\, 5 pm\, and 7 pm.  The church is at 8000 St. Martin’s Lane\, at the intersection with Willow Grove Ave.  Masks are required at the services\, and Covid vaccination plus a booster is encouraged.  The services will be livestreamed at stmartinec.org/live.  Preregistration for the livestream may be required.  Go to the St. Martin’s website for details (do a search for “Ash Wednesday”)\, or call the church office at 215 247 7466.
