Getting Involved

We encourage our members to live a life of Christ by volunteering
time and talent to help our church and community.

There are numerous ways to get involved!

Community Supper

Every fourth Saturday of the month, members of Christ Church and St. Michael’s hold a community supper at the Aulenbach Parish House, 29 W. Tulpehocken, for our neighbors in Germantown. The idea was inspired by the community suppers started by our sister church, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Chestnut Hill. Members of that church work with us in an alliance called the Beloved Community.

Volunteers arrive early to do the chopping, make the salad, and cook the hot dishes. We have vegetarian as well as meat dishes. The tables are set and the desserts put out. Then we have a rush of arrivals, tables filling up, and good chatter. The room is full of laughter and high energy.

We often have more than sixty people attending. They come from neighborhoods in Germantown and from churches such as Grace Epiphany, St. Luke’s, and the Germantown Quaker Meeting. Children especially bless the event.

Our community suppers are currently 3-5 pm. Look for our signs by the church and the parish house. Please join us!
